SAPA speaker at Plastics in Motion here is the program of the event

The pride of made in Italy among the giants of the automotive industry.

SAPA will be one of the speakers at “Plastics in Motion“, the world’s most important event in the field of plastic materials for cars, which will take place in Detroit from 4 to 7 June 2017.

A great source of pride for the company, which in recent years is experiencing an important growth.

SAPA each year has doubled the number of patents, increased its turnover reaching 130 million euro and increased the number of employed persons, who are now more than 800. An enormous effort, given that SAPA is a small company compared to the big giants in the industry.

A David against many Goliaths.

The industry’s leading industrial giants  – industrial giants generating a turnover of tens of billions of sales each year -are taking part at “Plastics in motion”  to confront and discover new opportunities in using automotive plastics.

The 2017 edition will be inaugurated by Thomas Pilette, vice president of Magna International.

SAPA will intervene as a speaker at this so prestigious event, presenting an innovative study, which is  at the forefront in the molding of plastic materials for passenger cars, which will bring enormous advantages in the industry, thanks to a weight reduction of the plastic components of the car that leads to a reduction in fuel consumption and polluting emissions

A research in line with the new environmental requirements that want lighter, less polluting and high-performance cars. SAPA seeks more and more to develop green and eco-sustainable technologies together with the most advanced technology.

The study will be presented in Detroit on June 6, 2017 by engineer Sofia Lanzillo, realized with the important collaboration of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno.

In order to make cars always lighter, an experimental injection molding activity was carried out with the innovative Mucell technology.
